Photo.com Becomes Biggest Sale of the Week and Year-to-Date
The biggest domain name sale for the year-to-date topped Domain Name Journal’s list of reported sales for the week to May 2. The sale was for photo.com, sold through Moniker for $1,250,000. The week also saw the sale of the second biggest ccTLD sale of the year-to-date, software.de, which was sold through Sedo for €235,025 ($303,200) and was the week’s second biggest sale.
Next on the list of sales for the week was another ccTLD sale, business.tv, also sold through Sedo, for $100,999. Almost half of the sales (9) were .TV domains sold through a .TV Sedo auction.
Overall Sedo accounted for 15 of the top 20 sales for the week while in a big week for ccTLD sales, they accounted for 13 of the top 20 sales.
