Sex.com auction postponed due to bankruptcy claim

The sex.com domain name auction scheduled for Thursday 18 March has been postponed due to an Involuntary Chapter 11 petition, or involuntary bankruptcy, against the current holder of the domain.

Britain’s SOCA Wants ICANN to Improve Whois Data Accuracy

Britain’s Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) has welcomed a recent report that found more than three-quarters (77%) of all Whois records for five of the generic Top Level Domains (.COM, .ORG, .NET, .INFO and .BIZ) are filled with at least partially inaccurate information.

Metal.com Biggest Sale of the Week

Metal.com is the biggest seller in Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported domain name sales in the week to 28 February, selling for $165,000.
Second was stockprices.com ($60,000) and both were sold by Sedo as were five of the top ten and twleve of the top 20.

In the first week of March, DNSSEC technology was introduced for more than 70,000 .CZ domains. With over 87,000 signed domains, the CZ.NIC Association, the .CZ registry, has the most domain names with DNSSEC protecting their domain names.

New DNSSEC Signing Facilities Live at ICANN
