AFNIC CEO elected as new CENTR Chair

Centr logoMathieu Weill, AFNIC’s CEO, has replaced Andrzej Bartosiewicz from the Polish registry NASK as CEO of CENTR as his two-year term was coming to an end.

“CENTR is a platform for exchange of information and best practices among members, but it is also a lively community, working in the public’s interest,” Mathieu Weill said. “I will work both to enhance services provided by CENTR to its members and to raise our industry’s profile”.

Mathieu Weill joined AFNIC, the French (.FR) registry, in 2005 after serving the French Ministry of Industry and Telecoms in various positions.

Other 2010-2011 board members elected were:

  • Sabine Dolderer, DENIC (.de) (re-elected)
  • Alberto Pérez Gomez, Red.es (.es) (re-elected)
  • Annebeth Lange (.no)
  • Juhani Juselius (.fi), Treasurer

CENTR is the Council of European National Top Level Domain Registries with more than 50 registries as members. All members are elected for two-year terms and may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
